for children ages 3 through 5th grade

“Beach Party: Surfin' Through The Scriptures! ”Come and join us for this year's Vacation Bible School. Through Bible Stories, Crafts, Music, Mission projects, and lots more, children will develop Beach Be-Attitudes:  Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold, and Believe!  Invite your friends.

VBS Mission

We can't wait to see you this June! While we're counting down the weeks, why not join su in a little fishing for mission right on the shores of your kitchen. If you eat Pepperidge Farm goldfish, clip and save the barcodes from the packages. Bring them with you on VBS Monday and learn how just eating a snack can be a way to help others. We'll be collecting these missions items during VBS week, to eat.

Monday (be obedient) - children's toothpaste (remember goldfish barcodes)
Tuesday (be kind) - decorated place mats (we'll send blank mats home Monday)
Wednesday (be forgiven) - baby wipes, baby toiletries, medium/large diapers
Thursday (be bold) - encouraging stickers (Good Work, Excellent , Great Job, etc.) non-religious children's story books
Friday (believe) - school supplies: wide-rule notebook paper, glue sticks, #2 pencils, blunt scissors, rulers, 24 pack Crayons

Also, bring your spare change each day for an offering which will be used for a special international mission project.

VBS Picnic

Looking ahead to VBS week... Everyone is invited to join our VBS kids and crew on Thursday June 19th at 6:00 PM in the Worship Center for a brief program followed by a cookout. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets as we enjoy a fun outdoor cookout to celebrate the fun of our Beach Party VBS! Dinner plates will be available for $6/adult, $3/child (12 and under), $20max/family. You can make your reservations on the VBS Registration Form or at the VBS Signup Table in the narthex on May 18th. Please contact Kelly Woodruff for more information.

AttentionVBS Volunteers:

We are counting down to VBS week, and we are looking forward to having you be part of this exciting Beach Party experience! To make sure that everyone is prepared for the week, we will have a drop-in for all VBS Volunteers in the narthex on Sunday, June 15th from 3pm-5pm. Please take a minute to stop by and pick up your volunteer packet and meet your fellow VBS lifeguards! We will be busy transforming the CUMC building into a Beach Oasis, so if you have some extra time, feel free to hang around and help us decorate too! If you are unable to attend during that time, please contact Kelly Woodruff to get your packet. Thanks in advance
