Clemson UMC Relational Covenant

The Church Council recently adopted a "Relational Covenant," upon the recommendation of the JustPeace process and our liaison team. A relational covenant is a document that expresses our commitment to one another as we work together to live as the body of Christ.

A thought process to be used in not only Church Council meetings and committee meetings, but also in ALL interactions with each other.

Have my contributions and interactions brought glory and honor to God?

Is this truly in the best interest of the Church even if it is contrary to my preference or opinion?

Have I solicited from others and expressed my ideas and suggestions, while listening to, considering, and respecting all that I heard?

Can I look my Christian brothers and sisters in the eye and be at peace with this decision or action?
