The Clemson UMC Health and Welfare Team has revised and updated the COVID-19 protocols for all gatherings on the church campus. We are encouraged that we are able to move forward, while providing a safe environment for mission and ministry to continue to grow and thrive.
The following updates are effective immediately:
Sunday School meetings 1. If all members are fully vaccinated (2 weeks beyond final vaccine), classes can meet without masks. 2. If a member or visitor is not fully vaccinated, all class members need to wear masks. 3. Sunday Schools should contact Anne Eldridge at email@example.com to reserve a room.
Small groups 1. If all members are fully vaccinated (2 weeks beyond final vaccine), groups can meet without masks. 2. If a member or visitor is not fully vaccinated, all group members need to wear masks. 3. Small groups should contact Anne Eldridge at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a room.
Weddings 1. Members of the wedding party are not required to wear masks during the ceremony and for pictures. 2. All other guests are required to wear masks. 3. During receptions at CUMC, all attendees including the wedding party must wear masks except when eating. Sunday Worship – Traditional and the Vine 1. Masks are required of all attendees. 2. In Traditional, choir members will not wear masks while in the choir loft. 3. Using the fogger after services is optional.
A sub-team from the HWT will propose a set of protocols for the HWT to consider for groups who would like to serve and eat a meal on the CUMC campus. The HWT will consider this proposal at its next meeting. If meetings are outside, no masks are required.
The HWT will continue to discuss when we as CUMC will fully relax our protocols.
