Outreach and Missions
Why do Missions?
Clemson UMC supports so many missions in the local community and around the world. We are thankful that our budget reflects giving through:
1. Apportionment Giving through the UMC (meant for connectional ministries) which includes Camps and Retreats, Ministerial Educaiton Fund, UMC Missionaries, Scholarships, Methodist Homes etc.. in the amount of $77,616.
2. Missions to Individual Missionaries beyond our UMC Apportionments in the amount of $5000
3. Missions/ Ministry support locally in the amount of $36,950. (see below some local missions)
So many of the ministries within our church also support local ministries (beyond the list below) through volunteers and small group contributions. This is a very missional church that desires to connect Mission, Ministry, Resources and Volunteers for the transformation of the the world into the name of Jesus Christ.
Our desire is that generosity and love would freely and naturally flow from our congregation and our membership to those in need. We do this work as an outward expression of our Faith in Christ Jesus and the Love, Resources and Grace we have already received from God.
