we believe that growth happens in groups, and we encourage everyone to join together on a journey of discipleship. Choosing to commit to a LifeGroup allows us all to share our journey, our hurdles, and our love for God together. Strengthen your bond to your community and Jesus Christ through small group learning. WE CALL OUR SMALL GROUPS, LIFEGROUPS. LIFEGROUPS PROVIDE ADULTS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT IN SMALLER COMMUNITIES, TO DIG DEEPER INTO GOD’S WORD, AND TO GROW AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND AS A COMMUNITY.
Our vision for Adult Ministry is to build a community of adults actively engaged in their faith journey. Our mission in Adult Ministry is encouraging and nurturing adults to continue to grow in their relationship with Christ as they gather together to study, pray, and serve.

We have a strong collection of established LifeGroups that meet weekly or, in some cases, monthly and span all different age ranges and life stages.

Invitation to John

Revisit stories only told in John’s Gospel including Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene and the raising of Lazarus. Bible Study will include weekly video segments, travel into the Scriptures, experience the grand artwork and hear from a Biblical Scholar. This is an 11 week Bible Study with daily reading assignments.

Keep Calm & Carry On

Have you ever wondered if your faith wandered off track in the midst of life’s challenges? This study guides you through the letters from Paul in 1 & 2 Thessalonians. This is a six week Bible Study with video segments and weekly reading.

Women’s Lunch Bunch

Bring your lunch and come join other women for a time of Bible Study. We will start by studying Anxious: Fighting Anxiety with the Word of God. There are many reasons to worry. And one reason not to. God hasn’t left us. True peace comes when we learn to hold God’s word up to what worries us. This is an 8 week study with video segments and weekly reading.

UMM meets for a Bible Study on the Gospel of Matthew.

Advent Study: The Redemption of Scrooge

Go from “Bah, Humbug!” to a Blessed Advent and Merry Christmas. Join us on a four-week study has we dive into The Redemption of Scrooge by Matt Rawle to see how the teachings of Jesus can be found in the classic Dickens' story.

Chrismon Making

We will make Advent Chrismon ornaments with beads and wire for our church trees. This is a beginners group so we will start with beginner ornaments and learn together.

Women's Walking Group

We will meet in the Gold’s Gym parking lot to walk together. A time of prayer, praises, struggles and exercise. All activity levels are welcome!

Samaritan Stitchers

We are people who enjoy knitting or crocheting for the benefit of others - no expertise required. We make prayer shawls and lap robes for people who need TLC, hats for babies at the Greenville Memorial NICU, and items for new babies at CUMC.

We will form groups of 8 that will meet monthly for fellowship and dinner together. This is a multigenerational fellowship group. To sign up, contact Amanda Thomas.

Connection Cards

We will be meeting together to write notes of encouragement to members of our church family. This is a great way to make connections with people and care for one another as we face all of life’s challenges and joys.
