Youth Breakfast - Thursdays @ 7:15am in the Orange Peel (Christian Life Center)
Come EAT!! And then we will drive you to school on the church buses! This is a great way to start your day when the week is coming to an end. A FULL breakfast is prepared by Mrs. Nancy and helpers to feed our bodies, and a brief devotion by youth and youth counselors feeds our spirits.

YES – Youth Engaging in Service
Often our Youth are invited to say YES to serve the community and/or the church in hands on ministry, mission projects, or acts of service. The Youth of CUMC also serve by mentoring children in our various programs, including nursery, kids' ministries, VBS, and more. Our big Mission is Salkehatchie Summer Service Project through the United Methodist Church in SC. Salkehatchie Summer Service - South Carolina UMC - umcsc.org

Retreats
Each year the CUMC Youth will experience weekend retreats to some favorite pilgrimage spots like Lake Junaluska, Asbury Hills, Epworth by the Sea and others. We use these retreats for spiritual enrichment and to have exciting times together. Sometimes we will include skiing, white-water rafting, or other high adventure experiences! REVOLUTION for United Methodist Youth is an annual retreat for us in January.

Confirmation
Confirmation is an opportunity for a person to respond to God’s “Yes!” with our own "Yes!” It's that once in a lifetime experience for youth ages 12 and up to make their own profession of faith in Jesus Christ within the congregation. Most often Confirmation is a response to their infant/childhood baptism, but often the Confirmation experience is in conjunction with baptism.
Class meetings are primarily led by the senior pastor and taught for about 12 – 14 weeks beginning in January. These classes involve learning about the Church, Methodism, Christian teachings, the way of Jesus, and living a life committed to God through their church connection. Confirmation always includes a vital retreat time together. We will be attending the Theotokos Retreat at Hinton Rural Life Center.
Hinton Center – Retreats, Missions, Lodging, Events
Confirmation is open to all youth 6th grade and up who will be at least 12 years old by January 1 of the confirmation class year. If you are excited about taking this awesome journey and leap of faith by committing to the classes and the Confirmation Retreat, please contact Pastor Meg Wilkes at [email protected].
